The Roleystone Men’s Community Shed was started with the help of the Roleystone-Karragullen Community Bank® Branch in 2011. As a result of community engagement in seeking the Community of Roleystone's ideas for it's future needs and priorities, the Community Bank® Branch sponsored two projects to initiate the establishment of a Men's Shed and a Community Garden.

Our initial home was in the Old Primary School at Robin Road in Roleystone, however the site has now been redeveloped. The Committee and members of the Shed would like to extend their thanks to Mr Raphael Maguire and his family and associates, who bought and developed the Robin Road site for over 55s, but let the Shed operate in one of the two remaining brick structures whilst development was under way.

Chapter one of our journey to establish a permanent Shed has been long and tortuous, but chapter two started on Thursday 9 January 2020 with sharing the facility of the Roleystone Karragullen Seniors Club. However, present events preclude us meeting in person, so the Shed conducts virtual meetings each Saturday to keep members connected. We are hopeful of a permanent home becoming available to us at the end of this year.
